Diana TV Specials

NBC is hardly alone in its two-hour report tonight about the late Princess Diana. The one-year anniversary of her death has prompted a flood of programming throughout the day, from segments on the morning network news shows to the subject of shows such as NBC’s “Leeza” and MSNBC’s “Time & Again” to prime-time specials.

Indeed, just as NBC’s “Diana” is concluding at 10 p.m., three other programs examining her legacy and the circumstances surrounding her death will begin: “48 Hours” on CBS, “NewsStand” on CNN and “Investigative Reports” on A&E.;

The “NewsStand” program also will air at 7 p.m., but it will have competition there too, as the History Channel presents “As It Happened: When Diana Died” (repeating at 11 p.m.).
