Net Mania Claims Some New Names

From the If-It’s-Monday-It-Must-Be-Internet-Mania department: Shares of several companies surged on the latest announcements involving the “I” word.
* Thrustmaster Inc. shares doubled, jumping $6.44 to $11.25 on Nasdaq, as the Hillsboro, Ore.-based maker of computer control devices released its Talk n’ Play software, which enables up to four people to talk over the Internet while simultaneously playing online computer games.
* Brilliant Digital Entertainment rose 50 cents to $2.81 on the Amex as the Los Angeles-based studio, which creates movies for distribution over the Internet, announced the launch of its Multipath Movie product line on the Net.
* MySoftware gained $2.34 to close at $12.13 on Nasdaq as the Palo Alto, Calif.-based software maker launched a Web site to help small companies.
