Sheriff’s Department Seeks Information on 4 Fugitives

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in locating four fugitives wanted for crimes ranging from vehicular homicide to rape.

Nasario Calderon Palacios, also known as Juventino Calderon and Nasario Calderon, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter that occurred Aug. 22, 1992. He was released on his promise to appear in court.

Officials said that because Palacios, 37, never showed up for court, warrants for his arrest were issued by the county and the FBI. In July 1994, he was featured in a state CHP magazine and has also been profiled on the television show “Unsolved Mysteries.”

He is Latino, 5 feet 5 and 135 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and possibly has a scar on his forehead.

Joseph Shin, 26, is suspected of raping a 16-year-old girl at knifepoint in Simi Valley in 1994. He was arrested in March, but has failed to appear for court since posting bail, officials said.

Shin is Asian, 5 feet 8, 140 pounds and has black hair and black eyes.

Hector Guerra Oros, 28, and Mario Romero Razo, 27, are suspected of opening fraudulent accounts at several banks and then writing bad checks to businesses and to each other. The losses are estimated at several thousand dollars. Warrants have been issued for both men.

Oros is Latino, 5 feet 6, 120 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Razo is also Latino, 5 feet 8, 120 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

The last known address of both men was in the 2300 block of Pleasant Way in Thousand Oaks.
