A More Flexible Relationship

Yoga guru to the stars Mark Blanchard has a new instructional video that takes a “twosome” approach to the ancient practice.

Working out to “Power Yoga for Couples & Mixed Levels” is like having your own personal training session. The 60-minute video shows how practicing with a partner can help both of you reach new levels of ability and deepen stretches, while burning fat and increasing stamina, strength and flexibility.

“Practicing as a twosome [allows partners to] try new postures and act as each others’ place of support,” Blanchard explains.

It’s also a way to get closer to a loved one. “It isn’t verbal or sensual, but it will teach the two of you that it’s OK to cry in front of each other or to fall down in front of each other. And, hopefully, it will keep you out of the psychiatrist’s office,” he adds.

Blanchard has trained heavenly bodies Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Kim Delaney and Andy Garcia at his Studio City space, Yogatime. A Beverly Hills location will open next month. For information about the video, call (888) 300-YOGA or visit https://www.yogatime.com.
