* The USC junior just won the Butkus Award as the outstanding linebacker in college football. The Trojans play Texas Christian University on Dec. 31 in the Sun Bowl.

No Game Films, Please: Friday night is movie night, so I go check out a movie, usually in Century City. Whatever my girlfriend, Vicky, wants to watch, that’s what we’ll go see. She’s the boss in that area. We’ll eat right there at Houston’s--I love their chicken--or maybe at the Shark Bar. Afterward, we usually go home and chill. Just hang out and talk.

Chef Claiborne: I cook breakfast on Saturday morning. Vicky loves to eat in the morning, so we’ll have a big breakfast: eggs, bacon, pancakes, grits--just about anything. I’m a good cook.

Family Day: We’re both from Riverside, so we usually head out there on the weekend. We’ll go to the mall, especially this time of the year. But it seems like we’re always shopping for Christmas presents or birthday presents. We’ll go see her family, we’ll go see mine. I’ll hang out with my little nephew Austin, who’s 5. Then Vicky and I will part ways and I’ll go hang out with my older brother Adrian. I love kabobs, so we usually end up having a barbecue at a friend’s house.

Calling an Audible: When my buddies are in town--a lot of them are in the NFL now--we might go to a party or to a club on Saturday night--maybe Duets in Westwood or the Century Club in Century City. Just cut loose for a few hours--go out and dance, hang out, meet people.

Dear Mama: I see my mother, Millie, every weekend. During the season, every Sunday is her day. We always eat breakfast together.

Winding Down: During the off-season, I sleep most of the day Sunday, or lay around watching basketball on TV. I’ll go to lunch at Koo Koo Roo in Marina del Rey. The turkey sandwiches are awesome, and I’ll also get a Caesar salad.
