* Bill Trester of Ventura received the Achiever Award for Janitorial Services at a national convention for ServiceMaster Residential/Commercial Services. Trester owns a local franchise of ServiceMaster Commercial Cleaning Services.

Edgar and Terri Lawson, owners of ServiceMaster by Lawson in Ventura, also received Achiever Awards at the national convention. The Lawsons were recognized for achievements in Disaster Restoration and Residential Services.

* David A. Kirkpatrick, certified financial planner with the Ventura office of Financial Network Investment Corp., has been named to the All-American Team of the American Funds Group of mutual funds. He was cited for outstanding service to investors in the area.

Kirkpatrick has been with Financial Network Investment for 21 years.

* Glenn Gooss has retired from the Board of Directors of Consumer Credit Counseling Service in Camarillo. He is one of the founding board members and served as treasurer during his 32 years of service.

Consumer Credit Counseling Service is a nonprofit organization that provides free and confidential financial counseling and education.

* Dennis Gierula, assistant vice president with Bank of America, has been named manager of the Santa Susana banking center. He will be responsible for customer service and retention, sales and day-to-day operations at 5821 Los Angeles Ave. in Simi Valley.

Gierula has been with the bank for eight years.

* Joann Evans has been recognized as the top real estate agent for Coldwell Banker Town & Country’s Oxnard/Beach Marina office. She was involved in 26 transactions worth $7 million through the third quarter of this year.

Evans is a corporate property specialist.

* G. Paul Fitzgibbon and Joan Chelsy have joined American City Mortgage Corp. as senior loan officers in the company’s Ventura office. The company specializes in minority and low-income home loans.

* Brian A. Robson has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer for Coyote Network Systems Inc. in Westlake Village. He replaces Edward A. Beeman, who is no longer with the company.
