Channel Islands 60, Ocean View 29--Jaline Bradley and Chenne Tuimoloau combined for 18 of Channel Islands’ 26 first-quarter points and the Raiders went on to win the championship of the Palm Desert tournament at Palm Desert High.

Channel Islands (12-4), ranked No. 3, held Ocean View without a basket for the first 6 1/2 minutes and jumped out to a 20-0 lead. Bradley finished with 25 points, seven rebounds and five assists and Tuimoloau finished with 17 points, 10 assists and six rebounds.

Harvard-Westlake 62, Cerritos 53--L’Tanya Robnett and Brooke Porter each made two three-pointers for the Wolverines to ignite a 20-8 third quarter run and a third-round comeback victory in the Ayala tournament.

Omelogo Udeze had 23 points and 13 rebounds for Harvard-Westlake (12-3), ranked No. 6. Robnett finished with 16 points and Porter scored 14 for Harvard-Westlake, which will play Ganesha in the semifinals today at 8:30 a.m.

Alemany 45, Nevada Union 42--Kate Beckler scored 29 points and the Indians (8-4) claimed third place in the Castle Hills tournament in San Antonio.

Beckler averaged 28.6 points and made 34 of 38 free throws in three tournament games.

Chaminade 37, San Marcos 36--Julie Cichon made one of two free throws with 16 seconds left to give the Eagles (4-9) the victory in a nonleague game at San Marcos.

Cichon, who had 16 points and 10 rebounds, hit two free throws with 25 seconds left to give Chaminade a 36-34 lead after hitting a pair with 45 seconds remaining that tied the score, 34-34.

Paraclete 49, St. Bonaventure 39--Christine Lambert had 24 points and 26 rebounds to help the Spirits win the L.A. Baptist tournament for the second time in three years.

Jackie Kolesar had eight points, seven assists and seven steals for the Spirits (7-6), who lost in the tournament final last year.

San Pedro 47, Taft 38--Lisa Hawkins had 10 points and Trisha Bratford had 11 rebounds but the Toreadors lost in a semifinal of the Canoga Park tournament.

Tiffany McCullan scored 13 of her 26 points in the third quarter for San Pedro.

Taft (8-2) was within 36-34 going into the fourth quarter but was outscored, 11-4.

Birmingham 61, Sylmar 13--Octavia Askew scored 16 points and Ofalangi Mailangi had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Patriots in a semifinal victory in the Canoga Park tournament.

Gloria Ross and Juana Gatson each scored 10 points for Birmingham (7-3), which will play San Pedro for the championship at 11 a.m. today.

L.A. Wilson 84, Poly 50--Norma Flores and Catherine Dio each scored 20 points but the Parrots lost the seventh-place game of the Bell tournament.

Flores made six three-point shots and Dio made 10 of 12 free throws and had nine assists.

Poly (3-10) played without guard Loretta Bolongaita, who is out of town, and forward Youssra Marjoua, who has a foot injury.

Ontario Christian 63, Quartz Hill 59--Sharonne Herbert hit five three-point shots and scored 26 points but the Rebels (3-8) lost the fifth-place game of the Serrano tournament.
