He has helped the Oilers creep up the Sunset League standings, and his game-winning goal with five minutes remaining gave Huntington Beach a 2-1 victory over then sixth-ranked Esperanza Friday and moved the Oilers into second place. It was his 19th goal this season. McAthy also scored twice in a 3-2 victory over Marina.

* Anaheim, senior. He scored 18 points, on six three-pointers, to lead team to 67-65 victory in overtime against then fifth-ranked Magnolia.

* Mater Dei, sophomore. He scored 22 points in 81-76 victory over Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick, the third-ranked team in the nation by USA Today, giving Monarchs their third victory in four days.

* El Toro, junior. He won at 154 pounds at the Sea View League finals, helping Chargers win the meet and earn a share of the league title.

* Servite, senior. Scored 16 points in upset of top-ranked Santa Margarita, 46-43, for the Friars’ third victory last week.
