The site also has biographical essays you can review beforehand. Net Noir (https://www.netnoir.com) spotlights the achievements of African Americans and their contributions to world history. The Library of Congress offers a Resource Guide for the Study of Black History & Culture (https://lcweb.loc.gov/exhibits/african/intro.html). Topics include colonization and abolitionism.

Black L.A. Biz (https://www.blacklabiz.com) has “the best of black Los Angeles . . . promoting positive images of businesses people, places and events of African American lifestyles in Southern California.” Black History Month highlights include black inventors and bios on Biddy Mason and Malcolm X.
