Frito-Lay Exec Named Times Vice President

Steven U. Lee, vice president of marketing for PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay International--Asia Pacific division, has been named vice president of consumer marketing and planning for the Los Angeles Times. Lee will oversee the newspaper’s consumer promotion and marketing, public affairs, and marketing research departments. He will also be responsible for a new planning group being created to support consumer marketing growth initiatives as well as the business planning efforts of The Times’ section general managers. Lee, 35, will report to Jeffrey S. Klein, The Times’ senior vice president and general manager, news.
