Homicide Suspect Arrested in Michigan
An alleged member of a North Hollywood gang wanted in a slaying last summer has been arrested in Pontiac, Mich., authorities said Monday.
Franklin Donan, 25, whose nickname is “Termite,” was arrested by Pontiac police Sunday after they learned he was in the area, said Los Angeles Police Det. Bud Watts.
Donan is accused of shooting to death Omar Hernandez, 29, last July in a drug deal, police said. They did not know why Donan, who carries a string of drug, robbery and assault convictions dating to 1986, was in Pontiac.
Donan waived extradition and will be returned to Los Angeles this week, Watts said.
