Two police officers required stitches after getting into a struggle early Friday with one of two men suspected of breaking into the girls’ locker room at Huntington Beach High School, police said.

William Aaron Bartlett, 22, and Eric John Richard Oslund, 21, both of Anaheim, were being held on suspicion of burglary and possession of burglary tools after their 1:20 a.m. arrest at the campus at 1905 Main St., according to Police Lt. Luis Ochoa.

Bartlett was also being held on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer after he allegedly swerved his truck toward the officers in the school parking lot. Bartlett crashed the truck and wrestled with the officers, leaving two of them with cuts that required stitches, Ochoa said.

The suspects allegedly broke into vending machines and coaches’ offices inside the locker room, and police recovered items, including a compact disc player, Ochoa said.
