In the Century League:

Orange 2, Foothill 1--Orange’s Danny Califf scored on a free kick outside the penalty area with three minutes left in the game. The Panthers are 7-4, 1-0 in league.

Matt Ledford scored in the 55th minute to tie the score, 1-1, for Foothill (8-4-4, 0-1).

Santa Ana Valley 2, El Modena 0--Enio Bravo had 10 saves in his second consecutive shutout for Santa Ana Valley. Bravo has four shutouts this season.

Fernando Rico and Erick Sanchez each scored in the first half for the Falcons (9-2-1, 1-0).

In the Empire League:

El Dorado 1, Cypress 0--Ignacio Cid scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season in the 77th minute for El Dorado (10-5, 1-0).

Kennedy 2, Katella 1--Randy Dawson and Chris Sears each scored first-half goals for Kennedy (8-4-1, 1-0). Rafael Mendez scored for Katella (5-8-3, 0-1).

Loara 1, Century 0 (OT)--Rafael Garcia scored five minutes into the first period of overtime for Loara. Jose Moreno had seven saves in his first shutout of the season for the Saxons (2-5-2).

Raymond Ugarte had seven saves for for Century (3-8-1, 0-1).

In the Freeway League:

La Habra 1, Fullerton 0--Jeff Meyers scored in the 64th minute for La Habra (3-4-2, 1-0). Aaron McCann had seven saves for Fullerton (1-7-4, 0-1).

Sunny Hills 1, Buena Park 0--Tom Kim scored halfway through the second half on an assist by Jared Bruce for Sunny Hills (6-7-2, 1-0). Ashley Hendry had three saves for his first shutout for the Lancers.

In Golden West League:

No. 1 Saddleback 4, Ocean View 1--Thomas Serna scored two goals in a span of three minutes in the second half to give Saddleback a 3-1 lead. Serna also scored in the first half and Mario Rivera had a goal for the Roadrunners (10-1, 1-0).

In the Pacific Coast League:

Laguna Beach 1, University 0--Spencer Herbert scored on an assist from Jim Hanna in the 12th minute for Laguna Beach (9-2-2, 1-0). Matt Murray made eight saves for University (4-8-1, 0-1).

Laguna Hills 0, Estancia 0--Brad Wayman had 13 saves for Estancia (7-3-3, 0-0-1) and Andy Johnson made five saves and Ian Ellis had three for Laguna Hills (11-3-3, 0-0-1).

In the Sea View League:

No. 7 Santa Margarita 5, Irvine 1--Tim Pierce scored his 13th and 14th goals of the season and Ryan Coiner, Corey Collins and Matt Froehlich also had goals for Santa Margarita (9-1-3, 1-0).

In the Sunset League:

Los Alamitos 2, No. 5 Esperanza 1 (OT)--Justin Waldrop scored with four minutes left in the second period of overtime to lead Los Alamitos (11-2-1, 1-0).

After a scoreless regulation, Michael Munoz gave the Griffins a 1-0 lead six minutes into the first overtime.

Esperanza’s David Munoz scored 1 1/2 minutes later to tie the score for the Aztecs (10-4-1, 0-1).

No. 6 Fountain Valley 2, Marina 1--Ray Sarafian scored the winner in the 70th minute to avoid the upset. Nick Tolman scored his 11th goal of the season to lead Fountain Valley (10-3-1, 1-0). Cory Calcagno scored for Marina.

Huntington Beach 2, Edison 2--Shawn Haney put Huntington Beach ahead midway in the second half and Edison’s Devin Kato tied the score in the 56th minute. Senior Aaron McAthy scored his 11th goal of the season to become the all-time scoring leader at Huntington Beach. His 41 career goals broke Rick Bell’s 1981 record of 40 goals. Huntington Beach is 5-5-1, 0-0-1. Edison is 9-3-2, 0-0-1.

In the Newport Harbor/Corona del Mar girls’ water polo tournament:

No. 6 Newport Harbor 11, San Diego Grossmont 10--Diana Day scored the go-ahead goal in the final minute to lift Newport Harbor (10-1) into today’s semifinals. The game featured brothers coaching against each other. Brian Kreutzkamp is the coach at Newport Harbor and his brother, Brad, coaches Grossmont. Newport Harbor will play top-seeded Poway today at 9:50 a.m. at Newport Harbor High.
