Prosecutors have charged four men with murder or attempted murder in connection with separate attacks last month on women who were followed, robbed and shot after gambling at the Hollywood Park casino.

In the first attack, Dannie Kim, 32, of Walla Walla, Wash., was shot five times and then stuffed into the trunk of a car that was set afire Dec. 17 just blocks from the casino. She died five days later.

On Dec. 23, a 53-year-old Rancho Cucamonga woman was shot in the neck upon arriving home from the casino, police said. Her name has not been made public.

Casino surveillance tapes “captured all the suspects during their planning of both crimes,” Inglewood police said in a statement issued Tuesday. All four appear to be tied to a Crips gang set, police said.

Charged with murder in Kim’s death are Donald Ray Debose Jr., 20, of Los Angeles; Anthony Flagg, 23, of Inglewood; and Carl Higgins, 23, of South Gate.

Debose and Derrick Gray, 22, of Los Angeles, were charged with attempted murder in connection with the Dec. 23 attack in Rancho Cucamonga.

Debose was arrested moments after leaving the casino Dec. 25, police said. He was carrying a handgun, and detectives said Tuesday they believe it was used in both shootings.
