GRIFFIN, Ga. —
A 13-year-old boy who was suspended from school for giving his teacher a bottle of French wine for Christmas returned to class Friday.
Cosmo Zinkow, an eighth-grader at Griffin Middle School, was suspended from school for 10 days for giving his French teacher a wrapped, unopened bottle of wine.
School officials said the teacher, who does not drink, reported the boy for violating the school’s zero-tolerance policy by bringing an alcoholic beverage to school.
