Trojans Trying to Revive Post Game

Share

USC will try to regroup against California today after losing to Stanford by 37 points Thursday, its worst defeat since 1992. Sifting through the wreckage, the Trojans will be looking to repair a demolished inside game.

The return of forwards Jarvis Turner and Anthony White, who had been out with injuries, was to have helped but only Turner, who scored 15 points and had three rebounds, could dent the Cardinal frontline.

Forwards Shannon Swillis, Gary Williams and White had eight rebounds among them and no points.

USC Coach Henry Bibby recently has benched several of his best players, including starting guard Gary Johnson and reserves Elias Ayuso and Kevin Augustine on Thursday, for tardiness and other team rules violations.
