VENTURA — A Ventura man was in critical condition after his motorcycle hit a car Tuesday night, according to police.
Craig Allen Childers, 43, was riding east on Main Street near Fir Street about 6:40 p.m. when he hit a car that had just made a left turn onto the street in front of him, police said. The car was driven by Albert J. Carbon III, 38, of Ventura.
Witnesses said Childers was driving quite fast and was unable to stop. He rear-ended the car and was thrown from his motorcycle, police said.
Paramedics took Childers to Ventura County Medical Center, where he remained in critical condition, hospital officials said. No one else was injured in the incident.
