Firefighters who extinguished a car fire discovered the body of a man who apparently had committed suicide, sheriff’s deputies said Monday.
The vehicle in the 21500 block of Claretta Avenue was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived shortly after 8:30 p.m. Sunday, said Deputy Debra Glafkides.
“The man was found in the car,” Glafkides said. “After an investigation, homicide detectives said they believe the death was a suicide.”
An autopsy has been scheduled.
