Three armed men stole $3,000 in jewelry, cash and other goods from a North Hollywood home after tying up the occupants with duct tape and holding them for an hour and a half at gunpoint Tuesday evening, Los Angeles police said.

The suspects entered the property at about 7:15 p.m. through the backyard, where they found a woman who lives at the house. The assailants, two armed with revolvers and one wielding a knife, dragged her into the home in the 6500 block of Agnes Avenue through the rear door and ordered her, another woman, and two men to the living room floor, Det. James Gerardi said. Three children were in another part of the residence.

The assailants bound the victims, ransacked the home and fled in the victims’ Plymouth Voyager minivan with cash, jewelry and a camcorder, police said.

Gerardi said the case is being investigated by the robbery-homicide unit based at Parker Center downtown.
