* LONG BEACH STATE (8-10, 3-3) at BOISE STATE (11-8, 3-3), 6:30 (KPLS, 7)--The 49ers come off a 3-1 home stand and make their last trip out of California before the Big West Conference tournament. They figure to have problems with Boise’s matchup zone defense. Long Beach has fared better against man-to-man teams, particularly center Andrew Betts, who averages 19.2 points and 9.7 rebounds a game, but had only two points a week ago against Cal State Fullerton’s zone. Also a factor: Long Beach has not won on an opponent’s court in five games and Boise State is 7-0 at home. The Broncos are led by forward Roberto Bergersen, who averages 19.9 points, and guard Gerry Washington of Inglewood, who averages 12.3 points and 3.3 assists.
