The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services and the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District are sponsoring the 14th annual “Day in the Park” Fourth of July celebration.

The event will be Saturday at Chumash Park in Agoura Hills and will include a gyroscope ride, game booths, arts and crafts vendors, food booths, clowns and pony rides.

The Lindero Canyon Middle School Enrichment Band and the Agoura Hills/Las Virgenes Unified School District community concert and jazz bands will perform.

“There’s something for everyone here,” said Dale Sumersille of the Agoura Hills Department of Community Services. “This should be a good celebration for the whole family.”

Admission to the park is free, but there will be a small fee for many of the rides and activities, Sumersille said.

The activities will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the park, at 5550 Medea Valley Drive.

Sumersille said event organizers are looking for volunteers to set up booths and serve as vendors at refreshment stands.

People interested in volunteering should call the Agoura Hills Recreation Center at (818) 597-7361.
