HOLIDAY CLOSINGS
Saturday is the Fourth of July, the 222nd anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Some agencies and services will observe the holiday today, but many will observe it Saturday.
TODAY
* Closed: All government offices, courts, libraries and most businesses and schools.
* Transportation: MTA buses and Metrolink trains will follow a regular schedule.
* Trash: City trash collection agencies will maintain regular Friday pickup schedules.
* Mail: Post offices will be open and mail will be delivered.
* Banks: Banks and savings and loans will be open.
SATURDAY: Post offices and banks will be closed; no trash pickup; MTA buses will follow Sunday schedules and Metrolink trains will not operate; some department stores will be closed.
