And on Madeline “Around the World in a Day” Marathon (Disney Channel, Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.), she visits Hollywood, New York, London, the Alps, Istanbul and America’s Wild West. She even has an adventure on a magic carpet. For ages 2 to 5.

New toons for kids are being introduced by Nickelodeon. Oh Yeah! Cartoons! (Nickelodeon, Sunday at noon) features a wide variety of animation styles and presents three new cartoon characters each week. The first three shorts are “Chalkzone,” “What Is Funny?” and “Jelly’s Day.” In “Chalkzone,” a boy finds a magic stick of chalk that allows him to enter the pictures he draws. “What Is Funny?” features the adventures of Slap T. Pooch as he tries to figure out the mysteries of humor. A little girl hangs out with her monster cousin from Entransylvania in “Jelly’s Day.” For ages 6 and up.

When T.J. (Tahj Mowry) loses a match to a computerized chess champion, he and Marcus (Jason Weaver) attempt to find a winning edge for a rematch, on Smart Guy (WB, Sunday at 8:30 p.m.). For ages 6 and up.

The gang on Hang Time (NBC, Saturday at 9:30 a.m.) delivers an anti-smoking message. The Deering High students try to help Teddy (Anthony Anderson) kick the cigarette habit, but he isn’t buying it until he sees a 10-year-old boy emulate his behavior. For ages 13 to 16.

Balto (Cartoon Network, Saturday at 8 p.m.) is the story of a courageous half-dog, half-wolf who guides a sled carrying medical supplies to a town full of sick children in Alaska. For ages 6 and up.
