Police and family members Thursday continued searching for a Fullerton woman who disappeared a week ago.

Jeanette Gomez Espeleta, 20, was last seen leaving the 24 Hour Fitness gym in Anaheim on July 17 about 4 p.m., said her sister Jennifer Gomez Espeleta.

The missing woman was on her way to see relatives in Moreno Valley before she disappeared, Police Sgt. David Stanko said. The missing woman was driving a silver two-door Honda Accord, California license plate 3SLD082, authorities said.

Jennifer Gomez Espeleta, 23, of Moreno Valley said her sister usually kept in daily touch with her family. She said it was odd for her to fail to show up at her bank job in Santa Ana.

Friends and relatives have been putting up fliers of the missing woman across Orange County, she said.

The missing woman, who is eight months’ pregnant, carried a small amount of cash, and her credit card has not been used since July 16, her sister said.

Police described Jeanette Gomez Espeleta as Filipino, about 150 pounds, 5 feet 4, with brown eyes and brown hair. She has a scar on her forehead and an ankle tattoo. Anyone with information is asked to call Fullerton police at (714) 738-6800.
