3 Boys Wounded in Shooting at Park
Three boys were wounded Friday when a gunman opened fire on them at a county park in Watts, a park police captain said.
The shooting occurred about 3:30 p.m. in Will Rogers Memorial Park at 103rd Street and Central Avenue, Park Police Capt. Carl Moore said.
The victims were ages 10, 14 and 17, Moore said, adding that the gunman, a possible gang member, was aiming at one of the boys, but wounded all three. The identities of the victims were withheld.
The boys were wounded in the legs and arms. None of the wounds appeared to be life-threatening, Moore said.
The gunman and a young male accomplice escaped on bicycles, Moore said.
