Police arrested a Fountain Valley man on suspicion of kidnapping another man at knifepoint outside a mini-mart and sexually assaulting him in the victim’s parked car.
Police said the incident occurred Sunday night outside the Fountain Valley Mini Mart in the 9500 block of Warner Avenue. Armondo Melgoza Aguirre, 46, was later arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and sexual battery, Fountain Valley Police Sgt. Jim Perry said.
Aguirre was booked at Orange County Jail, and bail was set at $50,000, police said.
Police said Aguirre sexually assaulted the 30-year-old victim before forcing him to drive to the suspect’s home. The victim was able to escape from the home about 15 minutes later and called police, authorities said.
