Charter Reform Panelist to Address Group

A member of the Los Angeles Elected Charter Reform Commission is scheduled to speak at a meeting of the South Robertson Neighborhoods Council tonight.

Bennett Kayser, chair of the commission’s neighborhood councils committee, will discuss the reform effort’s relationship to neighborhood empowerment, said Susan Bursk, president of the South Robertson group.

The group, whose boundaries stretch from National to Pico boulevards and from La Cienega Boulevard to Beverwil Drive, will also hear a report on efforts to revitalize parts of Robertson Boulevard.

The meeting will be held in the library of Hamilton High School, 2955 S. Robertson Blvd. A mixer begins at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
