at Dallas

FSW2, 5:30 PDT

Site--Cotton Bowl.

Radio--KTNQ (1020).

Records--Galaxy 16-5; Burn 10-11.

Update--If the season ended today, Dallas would miss the playoffs. The Burn trails the fourth-place Kansas City Wizards by one point and is only five ahead of last-place San Jose. The Galaxy, on the other hand, is nine points--three victories--ahead of the Chicago Fire in the race for the Western Conference title. Each team has 11 games left. Los Angeles, still negotiating to acquire a fifth foreign player to replace midfielder Wellington Sanchez, who was sold to Morelia in the Mexican League, is on the road for three games. The Galaxy travels to Denver and Chicago after this weekend’s all-star break.
