Robert Louis Bankson of Moorpark was stabbed to death July 21 after he and a friend, Joseph Morgan of Oxnard, left a party at a friend’s Ventura apartment.

Morgan was seriously injured.

“This was two predators out looking for trouble, and two out-of-town visitors paid the price,” said Sgt. Bob Anderson of the Ventura Police Department.

Police have been canvassing the neighborhood surrounding the 100 block of North Laurel Avenue, where the crime took place, for clues from residents or business owners.

Anyone with information is asked to call Anderson at 339-4482, Det. Bob Slay at 339-4463 or Crime Stoppers at 385-8255.
