Marcus Skacel

Santa Margarita, Senior; Volleyball/Outside hitter

Skacel had 37 kills and 25 digs to lead the Eagles to their first Southern Section Division I title and a four-game victory over three-time section champion Manhattan Beach Mira Costa last Saturday. Skacel also had 20 kills, four blocks and 24 digs in a three-game victory over Laguna Beach in the semifinals.

* Corona del Mar, junior. Had 26 kills to help the Sea Kings win in five games over three-time defending Division III champion Santa Ynez in the section final.

Scott Davis/Baseball/Pitcher

* Brea Olinda, senior. Pitched a five-hitter to lead Brea past Western, 3-0, in the Division III quarterfinals.

Santosh Swamidass/Track and field

* El Modena, senior. Cleared 6 feet 9, the best mark in the county this season, in the high jump at the Masters Meet.
