* California AIDS Ride 5--Cyclists (above, from last year’s event) will reach the finish line of this year’s 560-mile fund-raiser Saturday in Century City, where closing ceremonies will be held.
* Annual Corn Festival--Native American music, dance, cultural exhibits and food from two continents will be on display Sunday starting at 12:30 p.m. at Arroyo Seco Park in Pasadena.
* National Rib Check Day--Champion skater Kristi Yamaguchi and her dog, Piston, will help show dog owners how to keep canine obesity in check Saturday at Venice Beach near Market Street.
