A confrontation with two knife-wielding men in the Wagon Wheel area of Oxnard early Friday left a 57-year-old man with a 4-inch cut to the forehead, authorities said.
Richard Nelson of Oxnard did not require hospital treatment, police said.
Scott Gene Hernandez, 19, and Christopher Lee Malson, 18, both of Oxnard, were booked into Ventura County Jail. Hernandez was taken into custody on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, and Malson with brandishing a deadly weapon.
The pair produced folding knives when an argument escalated with Nelson at the Wagon Wheel Motel next to the Ventura Freeway, police said.
Hernandez allegedly cut Nelson during the 3 a.m. incident.
The reason for the argument was unknown, police said.
