Costa Mesa’s Schwartz Wins Scratch Main

Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa won the four-lap scratch main event of the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program Saturday night at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Gary Hicks of Riverside finished second and Charlie Venegas of San Bernardino finished third. Shawn McConnell of Brea won the eight-lap handicap main event, with Schwartz second and Andy Northrup of Ontario third.
