Venegas Wins Main at Speedway Racing

Charlie Venegas of San Bernardino won the four-lap scratch main event in the speedway motorcycle racing program Saturday night in front of 5,913 at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa finished second and Gary Hicks of Riverside was third.
Rick Pearce of Bakersfield won the eight-lap handicap main event. Shawn McConnell of Brea was second and Andy Northrup of Ontario was third.
