Reagan Library Plans Fourth of July Gala

Share

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is planning a Fourth of July celebration, which, in addition to a good ol’ pie-eating contest, will include a performance by the San Fernando Valley Symphony Orchestra.

Beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing until 4 p.m., the library will host hundreds of visitors, who will wolf down fare such as hot dogs and hamburgers, play games, tour the library and watch performers such as Nancy Lee Briscoe play the dulcimer and Fred Knoff pluck tunes on his banjo.

There will also be a Revolutionary War encampment that will include period crafts, clothing and firearms. George Washington, Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson are expected to attend, or at least their contemporary look-alikes.
