What More Can They Say About Jordan? Oh, a Little

Share

Regarding the brilliance of Michael Jordan, I have just two words (well, maybe more) for those still in denial: Magic Who? Larry Who? Wilt Who? Bill Russell Who? Kareem Abdul-Who? Doctor Who? Karl Who? and Isiah Who? C’mon, this is a game we all can play! Pick a player, and I’ll tell you Michael’s better.

The Utah Jazz is only one player away from an NBA championship. His name is Michael Jordan.

What sort of thought-out, deeply professional commentary did I get from the print and broadcast media over the past week? After Game 1, a home game won by the Jazz, which was fully expected: “The Bulls are in trouble.” “Bulls really have to work to get back into this series.” After Game 2: “Utah’s in trouble.” “The Jazz have their work cut out for them.” Game 3: “It’s over.” “Jazz might as well go home.” Game 4: “Karl Malone is disgusting. Hall of Famer? He’s a disgrace.” Game 5: “The Bulls really have to prove themselves now.” Game 6: “It’s over.”
