Cal State Fullerton Loses Sanders to New Orleans
Corey Sanders, a reserve center at Cal State Fullerton, says he is transferring to the University of New Orleans. Sanders, 6 feet 11, averaged 2.5 points and 2.3 rebounds as a freshman in the 1997-98 season.
His most memorable moment might have come when another student allegedly offered Sanders money to shave points in a February game against Pacific. Sanders, from Lansing, Mich., reported the matter to the coaching staff, and the student was arrested.
