Fireworks Blast Off Early at Fund-Raiser
The city is preparing El Modena High School’s Fred Kelly Stadium for the annual Uncle Sam’s July 3rd Celebration.
The event serves as a major fund-raiser for several nonprofit groups.
The day includes performances by the Orange Community Chorus and other groups, a petting zoo, games, presentations by the fire and police departments, and a large display of fireworks.
Activities begin at 4 p.m.; the fireworks finale should be sparking about 9:30 p.m. The stadium is at 3920 E. Spring St.
Tickets are $4; children 6 and younger will be admitted free. Tickets can be bought at city offices at 230 E. Chapman Ave. or 326 E. Almond Ave.
