3 Men Sought in Shooting of Teenager
An 18-year-old Saticoy man was shot by one of three men who drove up on him as he was walking home early Sunday, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
Det. William Gentry of the department’s major crimes unit said Angel Miguel Lopez was hospitalized, and the injury was not considered life threatening.
Deputies are still looking for the men, who jumped out of a dark-colored sedan about 1 a.m. at the corner of Nardo Street and Alelia Avenue and confronted Lopez, who was walking home from a friend’s house.
According to police, one of the men called out, “What’s up, punk?” and then shot Lopez in the right side of his body as he ran away, Gentry said.
