2 Roof Collapses Leave at Least 5 Dead

The roof of a medical building in Chandigarh collapsed as laborers poured cement on it, killing two workers, wounding 40 others and trapping dozens under the rubble, police said. Thirty laborers were hospitalized in critical condition. Police office C.S.R. Reddy said as many as 70 people could be trapped under the debris. In a separate accident, three workers were killed and 32 others wounded when another roof collapsed at the Indian Institute of Science complex in Bangalore.
