Suspended Golden State Warrior star Latrell Sprewell was charged with reckless driving Wednesday in connection with a car crash that injured two people last month in Pleasant Hill, Calif.

Sprewell, suspended by the NBA for attacking Coach P.J. Carlesimo in December, faces 30 days in jail, if convicted, on the misdemeanor charge filed by the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office.

Sprewell’s attorney, John Burris, said his client was “surprised and disappointed” over the charges, but that Sprewell would not comment while the case is pending.
