Diener’s Pitching Days at Alemany Are Over

Share

Alemany High softball pitcher Kim Diener has been diagnosed with tendinitis in her right elbow and shoulder and will not pitch again this season.

Diener, a senior who has committed to Long Beach State, was 56-15 during the last three seasons and led the Indians to Mission League championships in 1996 and ’97. As a junior, she was 22-4 and earned most valuable player honors.

The right-hander has been told by doctors that she can still bat if she feels no pain. Diener is among the region’s leaders with three home runs.
