Pacoima Man, 27, Found Shot to Death
A 27-year-old Pacoima man was found dead of several gunshot wounds early Wednesday morning, apparently a gang killing, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The body of the victim, whose identity was withheld pending notification of his family, was found at 12:40 a.m. in a white Honda parked in the 13600 block of Carl Street, said Det. Frank Bishop of the LAPD’s Foothill Division. Bishop declined to say where the body was in the car, which was parked in front of a friend’s house.
The victim was “a gang member and the suspects are gang members,” Bishop said.
Det. Bruce Barber said it appears the victim was shot while in the car.
Two men fled south on Laurel Canyon Boulevard, one in a gray compact car and the other in a cream-colored compact, Barber said.
