Deputy City Manager Accepts Inglewood Post
Deputy City Manager Joseph Rouzan Jr. has resigned from his Long Beach job to become city manager in Inglewood.
Rouzan, who was Long Beach’s deputy city manager for seven years, was appointed to his new job by the Inglewood City Council.
“For seven years, [Rouzen] has provided a steady voice of reason and good humor during some turbulent times,” said Long Beach City Manager James Hankla. “I wish both Joe and the city of Inglewood well.”
Rouzen has 43 years of experience in municipal government, and has worked extensively in Inglewood before, first as the chief of police, and then assistant city manager.
Long Beach officials said a replacement would be named shortly.
