9 People Named to Malibu Panels
The City Council has named nine people to fill vacant positions on two city commissions and one committee, officials said.
Appointed to the city Planning Commission at Monday’s council meeting were Ed Lipnick, Andrew Stearn and Ken Kearsley. Charlene Kabrin was reappointed to the commission.
Lipnick was also appointed to the Mobile Home Rent Stabilization Commission, along with Sherman Baylin. One position on the commission, to be appointed by Mayor Pro Tem Walt Keller, is still vacant.
Jeff Harris, Melanie Goodzwaard, Sarah Dixon and Patricia Lee were named to serve on the Local Coastal Plan Committee, said Nancy Steiner of the City Clerk’s office.
Service begins immediately for all appointees except for Kearsley and Kabrin, whose terms begin June 1.
