Quartz Hill 14, Littlerock 0--Jodie Cox went three for four with four RBIs and threw a one-hitter with eight strikeouts as the visiting Rebels (19-3-2, 8-1-1) clinched their third consecutive Golden League championship and seventh in eight years.
Cox allowed only a fifth-inning infield single to Lynn Olson. Quartz Hill collected 17 hits, including three apiece from Penny Wood, Amber Slayton and Christa Morales.
Hart 14, Canyon 0--Jocelyn Evans had three hits, including a run-scoring triple and a run-scoring double, and Nicolette Weinstein had a three-run triple and a sacrifice fly for visiting Hart (19-6, 8-1), which clinched its first Foothill League championship since 1992 with the five-inning victory at Newhall Park that was called because of the 10-run rule.
Lindsey Kontra (4-2) and Amanda Fortune combined on a two-hitter. Kontra allowed one hit while striking out four and walking one in three innings.
Saugus 2, Burroughs 1--Amanda Melton’s single scored Kelly Cornelison in the fifth inning to snap a 1-1 tie for Saugus (15-9, 6-3) in a Foothill League game at Olive Park in Burbank.
Cornelison singled to drive in Saugus’ other run in the fifth. Winning pitcher Stephanie Blaire (11-6) pitched a one-hitter with three strikeouts and no walks. She allowed only a fourth-inning triple to Olivia Sullivan, who scored Burroughs’ only run on a throwing error.
Burbank 5, Valencia 2--Crystal Racedo (7-6) went the distance, allowing six hits, and had a run-scoring double in the fifth inning for Burbank, which overcame a 2-0 deficit in a Foothill League game at McCambridge Park.
Amanda Ivey had three hits, including a run-scoring single in the sixth inning, for Burbank (10-9, 4-5). Amanda DeFusco, Susie Rodriguez and Meghan Lackey all had two hits for Burbank.
Amy Jimenez had two hits for Valencia (15-10, 5-4).
La Reina 5, Fillmore 1--Danielle Field tossed a three-hitter and had a two-run single in La Reina’s five-run fourth inning, and the Regents (24-2, 10-0) clinched the Tri-Valley League title at Fillmore.
Crescenta Valley 1, Hoover 0--An RBI single by Erica Fernandez with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning scored Laura Schmalen in a Pacific League game at Montrose Park.
Meredith Cervenka finished with a two-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks for Crescenta Valley (22-5, 9-0).
Hailey Henning allowed five hits, with two strikeouts and one walk for Hoover (13-11, 5-4).
Thousand Oaks 4, Agoura 0--Kim Martin (7-3) pitched a four-hitter and struck out six to help the host Lancers (17-7-1, 10-4) win a Marmonte League game and clinch a playoff spot.
Oxnard 2, Dos Pueblos 0--Priscilla Covarrubius pitched a one-hitter, and Sarah Contreras and Vanessa Denny each drove in runs for the Yellowjackets (10-7, 7-7), who upset the Chargers (10-3 in league) in a Channel League game and moved into possible playoff contention.
Chaminade 1, Harvard-Westlake 0--Amy Biersch scored from first base on a triple by Courtney Whale with two out in the top of the 10th inning for Chaminade in a Mission League game at Valley College.
Whale also singled in the eighth for Chaminade (18-7-1, 9-0), and winning pitcher Maureen LeCocq (18-7) threw a three-hitter, striking out 14 and walking one.
Sandra Aken had two hits, in the first and fourth, for Harvard-Westlake (13-12, 5-4).
Notre Dame 4, Louisville 1--Patricia Wetzel doubled to drive in Amanda De La Cerda and Karen Tobin with one out in the sixth as the Knights (14-12-1, 4-6) won a Mission League game at Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Park.
Alemany 9, Flintridge Sacred Heart 1--Consecutive doubles by Rosalie Ramirez, Annette Ramirez and Meghann Reiss sparked ignited a seven-run outburst in the third inning and the visiting Indians (16-10, 4-5) prevailed in a Mission League game.
Oak Park 8, St. Bonaventure 0--Dana Porter (8-11) tossed a three-hitter with six strikeouts and also drove in two runs, and Cindy Verity had four hits, scored three runs and stole two bases for the Eagles (10-11, 4-5) in a Tri-Valley League game.
Village Christian 2, Maranatha 1--Emily Taritero had three hits, including a double and a run-scoring single, for Village Christian (22-2, 8-0) in an Alpha League game at Maranatha.
Jaclyn Aranda (22-2, 8-0) pitched a three-hitter with six strikeouts and three walks.
