Jordan Expected to Be Named MVP
In the worst kept secret in most valuable player history, Chicago Bull star Michael Jordan confirmed Sunday that he will win the award today.
The NBA has called a news conference for today, without saying what would be disclosed. Jordan, however, disclosed that it is to announce his fifth selection, tying him with Bill Russell and putting him one behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who had six.
“It’s a great compliment,” Jordan said. “I really go out there every night to do my job. I guess you guys [press] notice that. You vote. I feel good about it.”
