Toyota Motor Sales of America plans to relocate its customer service division and establish a new company training center in Los Angeles in January. The world’s third-largest auto maker will move the U.S. service unit’s 840 employees to Harbor Gateway and will create 50 new positions. Each month, nearly 200 Toyota employees from throughout the country will make use of the new training facility at 190th Street near Normandie Avenue. Most of the workers will come from Toyota’s Torrance facility. The move was facilitated by Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan’s L.A. Business Team and Councilman Rudy Svorinich.
