The Elected Los Angeles Charter Reform Commission today will hold what commissioners are calling “L.A’s First Constitutional Convention.”
City residents will be given the majority of the time during the daylong forum for their comments and questions on charter reform, commission officials said.
City Atty. James K. Hahn, an advocate of elected neighborhood councils, will address participants shortly after 9 a.m. The session, which will last until 4 p.m., will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Concourse Hall E, West Hall, located at 1201 S. Figueroa St.
On Monday, the commission will hold its regular meeting at 6 p.m. On the agenda are issues concerning the structure of city government.
Monday’s meeting is at the Department of Water and Power Building, conference center, 111 N. Hope St.
