Re “City Absolutely, Positively Angry at Fed Ex,” Nov. 3.
I am appalled by the arrogance and egotism displayed toward the citizens and business community by the Burbank City Council and the Burbank Airport commissioners. Once again, Burbank officials have shown their ineptitude when it comes to negotiations over airport matters. Airport Authority President Joyce Streator’s recent proposal to resolve the current stalemate was excellent. The actions of Federal Express Corp. are well within their rights. Burbank does not have the right to interfere in the commerce of these United States.
